Summer in Chile is different than summer in the USA. Here, all companies give their employees their vacation time during January and February. Many families have 3-4 weeks off. And almost all families leave Santiago during their vacation time. Imagine, 25%+ of the city gone throughout January and February!!! For us North Americans it’s the weirdest thing ever. Many companies even shut down for several weeks and all their employees take their vacation time at once!

Needless to say, this effects ministry opportunities! Throughout these months, most of our leaders and teachers will be gone for a couple of weeks.

Despite that, we have maintained steady growth during the first few weeks of summer! Praise the Lord!! We had 152 (which was about our average during the spring) this Sunday morning and 3 people saved! Pray that we can continue to advance during these months!
