Since Chile is a predominantly and traditionaly Catholic country, our calender is filled with Catholic holidays. This year the government decided to establish an unprecedented evangelical national holiday. Of all the days in the year to choose, they ironically chose October 31st! When I heard it I thought it could not be true – Halloween… an evangelical holiday?!?
After looking into it, I discovered their reason. On October 31, 1517, Martin Luther nailed his 95 theses to the door of the Catholic church in Wittenberg, Germany. This historically marks the start of the Protestant Reformation.
Pray for us as we strive to glorify God by evangelizing this country in our generation.
