During the past month, I had the opportunity to travel 1,100 miles north to preach a 3 day conference in a new church plant in Iquique, Chile. It was exciting to see what God is doing in this young congregation. A Peruvian friend of mine, Juan Carlos Lopez, launched that church about a year ago.
Last week, I was invited to preach in two churches near Temuco, Chile. That’s about 400 miles south of Santiago. One of the churches was in a Mapuche community.
It was so interesting to spend time with first generation Christians in the north and south of Chile. God gave us the opportunity to encourage all three of the churches about evangelism, discipleship, and church planting.
We continue to pray for a church planting movement in Chile during our generation! Exciting things are happening here, and I’m thrilled to have a small part!
